Our Christmas cooking class is full of recipes you can make in advance for the festive season – jars, bottles and bakes packed with seasonal flavours that friends and family will love.

What to expect

Our Christmas cooking classes are designed to help you prepare for the festive season, providing you with plenty of tips and tricks from our chefs to take the stress out of those essential dishes, plus opportunities to get ahead with recipes and some new ideas to shake things up.

During this half-day class, you’ll follow our chefs in making several treats and preserves to be bagged and bottled up ready for Christmas. Going beyond chutneys, you’ll learn how to get maximum flavour and create unique foodie gifts that will make really special Christmas presents.

Not only will you gain loads of helpful hints and new ideas for your own seasonal cooking, but you’ll leave with all your edible gifts ready to build your own hampers at home.

Class details

Morning classes: Start 9.30am and finish 12.30pm

Afternoon classes: Start 1pm and finish 4pm 

Arrive up to 30 minutes before your class to check in at reception and there’s no rush at the end – you might be too busy eating your delicious dishes!

Class size: Maximum 10-12 guests, some elements may require working in pairs with a classmate, don’t worry if you’ve come alone – it’s a great way to meet new people and have a laugh

Typical recipes and skills (we’ll cook the best available on the day, so we might surprise you!):

  • Make-ahead sweet treats - crumbly fudge and fruity biscotti
  • Perfect party nibbles - sticky honey and herb nuts
  • Spiced syrups and preserves
