School holidays? Then it's time to inspire your junior chefs in the kitchen with a fun day full of cooking, baking and creative activities at the Academy! This day is themed on a Taste of Asia - so think sushi, mango and coconut, samosas and chicken tikka!

Gordon loves getting his children involved in the kitchen, meaning they’ve grown up really excited and inspired by food. Our Junior chef classes are a great opportunity for young cooks to get stuck in and have fun trying out new things.
Your young cooks will spend the day at the Academy, cooking up an absolute storm with our chefs in the kitchen. We have different days and each day has a different theme and cooking activities. They will make their own lunch during the morning session and then have their afternoon creations ready to take home to share with the rest of the family.
This 'Taste of Asia' day will begin with having a go at making sushi - don't worry if they don't like raw fish, we've got tons of veggie fillings to try and the fun is in the rolling and shaping! There will also be a delicious exotic fruit pud for lunch, then the afternoon will take them to India for samosas and chicken tikka skewers.
HOW ABOUT 5 WHOLE DAYS AT THE ACADEMY...?

Class: Start 10am and finish 3pm
Arrive up to 30 minutes before class to check your child in at reception and confirm contact details, then come and collect them, and their tasty creations, with a chance for photos or exploring our cookbook library until 3.30pm.
Class size: Maximum 10-12 children (please note this class is only suitable for ages 11-15)

Gordon and Tilly try to visit the Academy when they can and love following what you’re all cooking on social media. Our classes and events are hosted by brilliant chef teachers who will be passing on tips and tricks from Gordon and Tilly, as well as tons of knowledge from their own experience in restaurants and kitchens around the world.
We keep our children's cookery classes to a maximum of 10-12 per class to ensure they get the best possible experience. There are two age brackets (6-10 years old and 11-15 years old) and these are for children of all cooking abilities, all they need is an interest in food and a can-do attitude.
You can book for up to six children in one booking so there's usually room for brothers, sisters, schoolmates, cousins or neighbours…
If they really do want to bring the whole gang, get in touch with our Private Dining and Events team who can help you book a bespoke kids class or cooking party.
We’ll always try to accommodate any specific requirements for your children but there are some classes and recipes we might not be able to adapt. Please do let us know any requirements in the booking form or contact us to see what we can do.
We unfortunately cannot guarantee an allergen or nut-free environment in any of our kitchens.
All Junior chefs must be dropped off and collected by an adult who must sign them in and out and provide contact details for while they are with us at the Academy.
We’ll provide aprons on the day and recommend comfy clothes and flat, closed-toe footwear (sorry, no sandals or flips flops!) as they’ll be moving around and on their feet quite a bit in the kitchen. All equipment and ingredients are provided, as well as takeaway containers for any food they want to take home with them, although feel free to provide your own containers.
Please return 10-15 minutes before the class finish time to collect your Junior chefs - you're very welcome to relax in our comfy library with a coffee while you wait!
We're sure there won't be, but just in case we will require a mobile phone number for a parent or responsible adult and request you remain local and contactable during the class. If someone else is collecting your child at the end of the class, please let us know on arrival.

If the class or event you want is fully booked, you can join a waiting list to be notified if places become available.
No problem. We understand sometimes things come up unexpectedly - please just let us know as soon as possible and we'll always try and reschedule your booking to another date if we can.
You can call us on 020 7352 2442, email us on email@example.com or amend your booking in your account up to one week before the class start time. If there are no other suitable dates available or you'd like to switch to a different class or event, please get in touch with our team.
Due to the preparation required for classes, we cannot guarantee being able to reschedule any bookings within 48 hours of the class start time.
