Junior chefs (6-10): Cook and bake day

School holidays? Then it's time to inspire your junior chefs in the kitchen with a fun day full of cooking, baking and creative activities at the Academy! Our chefs will help your budding young cooks and bakers learn some fantastic new skills as they make their own lunch, get imaginative with ingredients and rustle up some sweet treats to take home.

What to expect

Gordon loves getting his children involved in the kitchen, meaning they’ve grown up really excited and inspired by food. Our Junior chef classes are a great opportunity for young cooks to get stuck in and have fun trying out new things.

With a 'Cook and bake day' at the Academy, your aspiring chefs have the opportunity to spend the day with our chefs in the kitchen and truly immerse themselves in all things food. We'll ensure they have plenty of fun as they get stuck in, making delicious dishes to eat and some to bring home, too.

We'll start the morning with welcome refreshments then get them cooking up a couple of delicious savoury dishes that they will then all sit down together to enjoy for lunch. During the afternoon, we'll switch to baking so that they end up with a box full of sweet treats to take away.

Throughout the day, we'll break up their time cooking with some creative activities - perhaps finding recipe inspiration in our cookbook library, designing dishes, identifying ingredients or decorating their food boxes.
