What to expect

Our Masterclasses are the perfect opportunity for you to master one particular dish or skill, all within a relaxed 3-hour class. 

Dry-aged, rare-breed, prime… sirloin, rump, T-bone, fillet… the world of steak can be a complex one, with so many choices available. This class will help you get to grips with what it all means, and most importantly, how to get the best out of your beef. 

You’ll learn which cut is best for which cooking style and how to achieve your perfect result, whether you like it rare or medium or somewhere in between. This will definitely be a meaty few hours, with lots of top tips and recipes for sides and sauces to take home with you. 

Class details

3-hour classes: Starting 9.30am, 11am or 1pm (please check individual booking)

Arrive up to 30 minutes before your class to check in at reception and there’s no rush at the end – you might be too busy eating your delicious dishes!

Class size: Maximum 10-12 guests, some elements may require working in pairs with a classmate, don’t worry if you’ve come alone – it’s a great way to meet new people and have a laugh

Typical recipes and skills (we’ll cook the best available on the day, so we might surprise you!):

  • Introduction to beef, butchery and steak cuts
  • How to cook the perfect steak – however you like it
  • The perfect steak meal – sides and sauces including how to make triple-cooked chips
