What to expect

With our Taste of… classes we want to get you excited about some of the amazing food that’s being cooked all around the world. There’s so much to learn and discover when it comes to regional cuisines, from new flavours to age-old traditions, this is just the starting point for many more kitchen adventures to come.

Get a fantastic introduction to the flavours and techniques of French cuisine as you join our chefs in the kitchen for a morning or afternoon of delicious dishes inspired by the tastes of France. French-style cooking stretches from rustic to refined, but every dish is always packed with flavour.

With our menu of the day we'll focus on some classic skills, sauces and preparations that will help start your French culinary journey. You'll learn how to cook duck to perfection and serve it with a sweet-and-sour sauce gastrique plus a braised pea fricassée (often known as petits pois à la Française).

France is undoubtedly famous for its bakeries, so we'll also get you knocking up a delicious flavoured fougasse bread and rich, buttery gâteau Breton to finish.
