Any trip to Spain isn’t complete without spending a lot of time eating tapas or sharing nibbles with a glass of wine… but how many of us come back and cook it at home? Join our tapas cooking class to try your hand at some Spanish-style small plates that blend simple ingredients in delicious ways.

What to expect

With our Taste of… classes we want to get you excited about some of the amazing food that’s being cooked all around the world. There’s so much to learn and discover when it comes to regional cuisines, from new flavours to age-old traditions, this is just the starting point for many more kitchen adventures to come. 

Our chefs are excited to share some traditional ingredients and flavour combinations to help you master your own tapas dishes and small sharing plates. These might include smoky paprika flavours and sweet peppers through to spicy chorizo and rich garlic sauces. All recipes that are bursting with flavour and include lots of useful cooking techniques to learn along the way. 

There will obviously be plenty to snack on during class and some bits to take home with your recipes – ready for a glass of sangria when you share them with friends!

Class details

3-hour classes: Starting 9.30am, 11am or 1pm (please check individual booking)

Arrive up to 30 minutes before your class to check in at reception and there’s no rush at the end – you might be too busy eating your delicious dishes!

Class size: Maximum 10-12 guests, some elements may require working in pairs with a classmate, don’t worry if you’ve come alone – it’s a great way to meet new people and have a laugh

Typical recipes and skills (we’ll cook the best available on the day, so we might surprise you!):

  • Classic tapas and small plates such as tortilla or padron peppers, hearty chicken and colourful sauces, spicy chorizo and more! These will include meat or fish dishes as well as vegetables.

  • Takeaway containers to take your creations home in (although feel free to bring your own or a cool bag if travelling far)
