How do I login to my account...?

When you make a booking, you can sign up with a password to create an Account. You'll be able to access all your booking details and documents here.

Will Gordon be at the Academy or hosting the classes and events...?

Gordon tries to visit the Academy when he can and loves following what you’re all cooking on social media. Our classes and events are hosted by brilliant chef teachers who will be passing on tips and tricks from Gordon, as well as tons of knowledge from their own experience in restaurants and kitchens around the world.

Can I book for a large group…?

Of course! If booking for six or more (or more than 10 devices for an online class), please get in touch with our Private Dining and Events team who can help create an amazing experience just for you.

Who can attend these classes…?

Anyone! You can book as an individual, couple or as a small group and we have specific children’s, teens and family classes for ages 6+. All adult classes are suitable for age 16+.

If you have any accessibility needs or if there's anything we can do to help make your experience more comfortable, please let us know in the booking form or give us a call to chat through.

Do I need to be a confident cook…?

Our classes are aimed at helping everyone grow their confidence in the kitchen, whatever your level of experience. The most important thing is that you love food and are willing to give it a go!

If you have any concerns or would like advice on suitable classes, get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.

What if I have a food allergy or special dietary need...?

Don't panic! We'll always try to accommodate any specific requirements if we can and you can let us know about these in the booking form.

Otherwise do contact us to discuss a particular class or booking. You could also consider booking a private class through our Private Dining and Events team that's tailored to your needs.

We unfortunately cannot guarantee an allergen or nut-free environment in any of our kitchens.

What should I wear/bring with me…?

We’ll provide you with an apron on the day and recommend comfy clothes and flat, closed-toe footwear (sorry, no big heels or flips flops!) as you’ll be moving around and on your feet quite a bit in the kitchen.

All equipment and ingredients are provided, as well as takeaway containers for any food you want to take home with you, although feel free to bring your own containers or a cool bag if you’re travelling.

How do I get to you and is there parking…?

We’re handily located in Woking town centre, have a look at our Contact us page for all location and travel advice.

What is a waiting list...?

If the class or event you want is fully booked, you can join a waiting list to be notified if places become available.

Can I change my booking if something comes up...?

No problem. We understand sometimes things come up unexpectedly - log in to your account where you can edit your booking up to one week before your class or event, changing attendee details or choosing a different date.

If there's no other suitable date available or you'd like to switch to a different class or event, please get in touch with our team who can help you change your booking. Please see our Terms and Conditions for more details.

What about photography in classes…?

We’d love you to share your photos and experiences with others on social media – tag @gordonramsayacademy and show everyone what you’ve been cooking!

We often photograph and film classes to share in our social and marketing but if you’re not comfortable with this, you can choose to opt out in the booking form and we’ll always check with you in class as well. For more information, please see our Terms and Conditions.

ONLINE CLASSES

Who will be hosting the class...?

Our online classes are filmed at the Academy with our brilliant chef teachers. They all have loads of experience cooking around the world and will be passing on tons of tips and tricks from Gordon in every class.

How does an online class work…?

Our online classes are hosted virtually on Zoom – you’ll be sent an invite and instructions on how to join the class via email.

We recommend using a laptop, desktop computer or large tablet set up in your kitchen (try covering the keyboard with cling film to avoid sticky keys!) with your camera turned on so that our chefs can see what you’re doing and help you along the way. You’ll need a good internet connection and don’t forget to plug in or check the battery has enough charge.

The classes are filmed live in the Academy with one of our chef teachers showing you exactly how to make a dish so you can follow along at home. You’ll be able to ask questions throughout and gain valuable tips as in any class.

Do I need to prepare anything in advance…?

Before each class we’ll email you a recipe pack with a full ingredients and equipment list, plus any preparation instructions. We try to squeeze a lot into 90 minutes so you'll need to have the ingredients weighed out and equipment ready, and some classes may require a little bit of preparation such as soaking an ingredient overnight.

Your chef teacher will take you through everything in class, so if you’ve forgotten something, don’t panic! We can also suggest alternatives if you haven’t got a particular piece of equipment or can’t get a certain ingredient, so get in touch if any problems.

Who can join in...?

Each booking is for one household or device, so you can have the whole family cooking along if you like. Children (under 16) are welcome to join in but must be accompanied by an adult. If you’d like to scale up a meal to feed more people, just contact us and we’ll happily recommend how best to do this.

The classes are designed for all levels of experience and to be cooked in home kitchens, so you can take part no matter whether you’re a complete beginner or already a confident cook.

JUNIOR CLASSES

Will Tilly be there…?

Tilly loves sharing her recipes and ideas but is very busy juggling her own studies and activities. Make sure you follow @tillyramsay on Instagram and TikTok to see what she’s up to.

Can I book for all my kids and their friends…?

We keep our children's cookery classes to a maximum of six per class to ensure they get the best possible experience. There are two age brackets (6-10 years old and 11-15 years old) and these are for children of all cooking abilities, all they need is an interest in food and a can-do attitude.

You can book for up to three children in one booking so there's usually room for brothers, sisters, schoolmates, cousins or neighbours…

If they really do want to bring the whole gang, get in touch with our Private Dining and Events team who can help you book a bespoke kids class or cooking party.

What if they have a food allergy or special dietary need...?

We’ll always try to accommodate any specific requirements for your children but there are some classes and recipes we might not be able to adapt. Please do let us know any requirements in the booking form or contact us to see what we can do.

What if there are any problems...?

We're sure there won't be, but just in case we will require a mobile phone number for a parent or responsible adult and request you remain local and contactable during the class. If someone else is collecting your child at the end of the class, please let us know on arrival.

GIFT VOUCHERS

Can I give a class or event as a gift…?

Great idea! We’ve got several gift voucher options starting from just £10. All e-vouchers can be emailed over instantly so make great last-minute gifts, or you can opt for a voucher to be sent by post.

If booking a specific class or event on behalf of someone else, please ensure you provide their details and requirements in the attendee part of the booking form.

How do I use my gift voucher...?

Lucky you! Simply put the voucher code into the Promo/Voucher code box during checkout and the voucher amount will be taken off your order, or redeem against a certain class by following the instructions on our vouchers page.

Vouchers are valid for 12 months from purchase and can be redeemed against one order (including any classes, events and products but excluding gift vouchers) – we regret that we are unable to offer a refund or credit for any outstanding balance.

CORPORATE & CELEBRATIONS

Can I create my own bespoke event…?

Absolutely! We have plenty of classes that we can adapt to your needs, or if you have a very specific idea of what you want, we’d love to help you make that happen.

Even if you’re not quite sure what’s possible, just speak to our team and they’ll be able to suggest ideas and options to suit you. 

How many people can I bring…?

We’re pretty flexible – come on your own for a private 1-2-1 class or take over the whole Academy to host your event.

For a hands-on cooking experience we can accommodate up to 44 with 10-12 guests in each of our four teaching kitchens. Each kitchen can be booked for a private class of up to 12 or for larger groups across several kitchens.

Tastings, talks and demonstrations can be hosted in our Demonstration Kitchen for 25 guests at a time.

Children’s classes and parties may require adult supervision depending on age (minimum 6+) and numbers (maximum 24).

Online classes can host up to 20 devices for an interactive session or up to 50 for a demonstration only.

Do you provide meals and drinks…?

Definitely. If you’re cooking in a class you’ll have your own creations to eat and we can help turn this into a full meal if you like. We can also provide the drinks – whether that’s a celebratory glass of fizz or a beautiful wine pairing curated by one of our restaurant sommeliers.

For other events we can provide drinks and nibbles or give us a call to discuss tailored options just for you.

How else can I make it extra special…?

You tell us what would make your day really special and we’ll do our best to make it happen. We can provide goody bags with aprons, cookbooks, ingredients or equipment for each guest to take away, stream your own playlist or videos, help you continue the party downstairs in Gordon Ramsay Street Burger, or help with transport and local recommendations.

What if we have any food allergies or special dietary requirements…?

Don't panic! We'll always try to accommodate any specific requirements and you can let us know about these in the enquiry form or when talking with our team.

As food is prepared for multiple classes together, we cannot guarantee an allergen or nut-free environment.

What will it cost…?

We tailor every event to each individual and our team will happily take you through all costs as you plan your special occasion or business activity. Full payment is required when bookings are confirmed. 

What are your booking and cancellation policies…?

Book well in advance (up to 12 months prior) and we can make sure we get your perfect date and all the planning taken care of so you can relax. We will try and accommodate last minute bookings (within 1 month) but it may not always be possible.

We can move or cancel events up to 1 month prior but some costs may be non-refundable if changes are made within this time. Cancellations within 7 days of an event will be subject to full payment. For our full booking terms, please see our Terms and Conditions
