We love sharing our facilities and expertise with the local community to support and inspire through food, passion and fun.
So far we've used our cooking classes to offer fun experiences to say thank you to local NHS key workers from Woking Community Hospital and to inspire young Diabetes patients from Frimley Park Hospital to enjoy a balanced cooking lifestyle.
We're passionate about getting young people excited about cooking and help them become confident in the kitchen as they celebrate their independence. We're working with Woking College to offer students opportunities to get in the kitchen with us and are developing creative ideas for schools in the surrounding area to get involved, too.
The Academy is also a fantastic resource for supporting and promoting the hospitality industry. We are proud members of the Woking Hospitality Alliance and have partnerships with Woking Council and the Department of Work and Pensions, through which we are looking to give hospitality careers a fantastic start. We will further support local catering colleges, apprenticeship schemes and more as we grow - offering options for both those new to the industry and those looking to reskill in a new direction.
Beyond classes here at the Academy, we are thrilled that we have been able to support schools and charities in the local area with raffle and auction prizes, gift vouchers and experiences for their fund-raising activities.
There's so much more we can do in the future - we can't wait!
Fun classes and experiences, giving the next generation confidence in the kitchen, inspiring future careers in hospitality and boosting fund-raising efforts.
